On February 3, 2026, Diamond Moore was convicted by a jury of second-degree murder and attempted voluntary manslaughter. The jury also found true that the defendant intentionally discharged a firearm causing death, personally used a firearm and inflicted great bodily injury.
On November 8, 2023, Diamond Moore got into an argument with the murder victim at a gas station. Moore shot the victim in the head, killing him. Moore then shot the victim’s brother in the head. The brother survived his injuries. The revolver Moore used was never recovered.
An allegation that Moore has a prior strike conviction for assault with great bodily injury and aggravating factors will be determined at the sentencing hearing.
Diamond Moore faces a maximum sentence of 73 years to life in prison. Sentencing is set for March 27, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in Department 40 before the Honorable Steve White.
